Day 01:Yangon Arrival

Mingalaba! Welcome to Yangon. Today, meet and welcome by our local tour guide at the airport. It might be a bit tired after the flight so we will directly transfer you to The Governors’ Residence Hotel for check-in. After settling into your hotel, enjoy your leisure time.

Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02:Yangon – Fly to Bagan - Sightseeing

where possesses over 2200 temples and pagodas. Upon arrival at Bagan airport, our guide will escort you for a visit to the rural area of Bagan. Here you will have an opportunity to get a glimpse at the real way of the local life in the countryside. You will pay a visit to some of the households in the village for a short meet and greet with the host.

After that, highlight your morning sightseeing with a horse cart ride to slowly travel and behold the charming of Bagan through the dusty path. The carriage will lead you from the popular route to some exotic path that normal cars are hard to access. Then explore the beautiful Shwezigon Pagoda with the interesting knowledge of Burmese Buddhism.

Follow up is a visit to Ananda Temple (one of the finest, largest and best preserved in Old Bagan). Your day ends with sunset watching from one of the highest pagoda in Bagan. Spend your night at luxurious Aureum Bagan Resort.

Day 03:Hot Air Balloon Over Bagan – Board on cruise – Pakkoku

Rise before dawn this morning to take part in an amazing activity: a hot air balloon ride over Bagan. As the driver takes you to the balloon point, enjoy some coffee or tea for the morning before experiencing a trip of your lifetime. As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, listen to the harmony of the wind swaying in the air and marvel at thousands of temples in and out the shade of the tree. Your balloon ride will last for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Upon landing, retrieve vehicles will be on hand to serve sparkling wine and refreshments before the driver picks you to the hotel for check-out.

Around noon you disembark the luxurious Anawrahta Cruise, berthed at the quay of Bagan. After a warm welcome by our staff offering some refreshments you move into your “home” for the next days.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch as the ship sails towards Pakkoku – an old trading town on the western riverbank of the Ayeyarwady. Visit some of the small industries in this area, such as a cheroot-rolling factory and a producer of ‘Burmese slippers’ (“flip-flops”).

Pakokku is also well-known for the production of Tobacco. If you like to buy some Burmese cigars, this is the place. We continue touring to the Shwegu Temple. This temple features incredible, intricate carvings made from rare Yamanei wood. Back on board Anawrahta continues her journey northwards on the Ayeyervady.

As the evening approaches and the Burmese sun immerse everything in a golden light a special event will take place at the Kipling’s Bar. Dress up in style as we send “A toast to the past” during a British club gathering where gents may whiff cigars and ladies sip on tasty gins with tonic. Share some tales of the old (British-Burmese) days. Isn’t sometimes the time to lose time. Adjacent dinner is served at the Hintha Hall. If you feel like it you can join our open-air cinema under the stars on the sun deck showing classic movies (depends on weather conditions).

Day 04:Pakokku – Yandabo on cruise

Early birds will have a chance to attend in a yoga class in the very first sun ray of the day. The ship continues to sail up the river. Enjoy your breakfast as the ship sails pass the intersection of the Irrawaddy and its greatest tributary, Chindwin River.

Our first destination today is the pottery village of Yanderbo. This small village has a big history of where to sign the Treaty of Yandabo which put an end to the 1st Anglo – Burmese war. Today, it is well – known for the making the pottery products, especially Yandabo’s pots can keep the water cooler. Our knowledgeable guide will explain for you more on the trip.Walk around the village to experience the local life. You can also try to make your own pottery items.

An exquisite lunch buffet will be served when guests return on board. The boat continues its adventure up to the North. Choose to lie lazy on the bench of the sundeck watching the scenery or rejuvenate yoursef in some amazing spa treatments.

In the afternoon, Longyi wearing (Burmese traditional dress) and Thanaka applying (Burmese natural comestic) demonstrations as well as lectures about Burmese’s history and culture will be provided.

Day 05:Yandabo – Ava – Mandalay on cruise

Early this morning, a yoga session will help you to start a new day refreshingly.

Breakfast will be served afte that while we sail to Ava.

Disembark the ship for a wonderful discovery around Burmese’s former royal capital – Ava. Horse cart will be our main transportation. The tour includes some notable sites such as the ancient Bagaya Kyaung monastery, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan monastery and Nanmyint watch tower.

Return to Anawrahta cruise for lunch. The ship will then sail to the north to Mandalay. Don’t miss a chance to admire the beauty of Sagaing Hill where hundreds of white and golden stupas located.
Around 2:00p.m, drop the anchor at Mandalay.

In the afternoon, a splendid tour shows us some of the most special spots of Mandalay. Experience the amazing process of the gold-leaf beating, have a look inside a silk-weaving manufacturer and take a walk through captivating streets with many marble-carving workshops. And then, the best moment of the day approaches. Enjoy a sunset cruise around the world’s longest teak bridge – U Bein.
Back to the ship. Dinner will be followed by a traditional performance. Afterwards, our open – air cinema welcomes you with another classic movie.

Day 06:Mandalay – Mingun on cruise

Have your breakfast before we start our tour discovering magnificent Buddhist constructions in Mandalay.

Our first stop is Kuthodaw Pagoda, also known as “the world’s largest book”. This site comprises a gilded temple and 729 shrines containing marble slabs inscribed with Buddha teaching. Next, we head to Mahamuni Pagoda where is home to the most sacred Buddha statue of the country. Another point of interest is the sophisticated wooden arcchitecture of Shwenandaw Monastery – the sole surviving construction of the Royal Palace.

Back on the ship to have lunch while Anawrahta continues its journey to Mingun. Here, you will have a chance to admire the magnificent architecture of Mingun Paya which was intentionally left unfinished. The king who ordered to build this pagoda was cancelled the process himself due to the prohecy of his death if the stupa was completed it.

Keep on walking, we will approach close to the world’s second biggest bell – Mingun Bell.
Back to the ship. Some snacks and drinks are prepared for you. Then, Anawrahta cruise sails back to Mandalay. Enjoy your last dinner onboard and after that our crew will set up some farewell entertainment.

Day 07:Mandalay Disembark – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake

Enjoy your breakfast then say goodbye to the beloved crew of Anawrahta Cruise to fly to Heho, the gateway to Inle Lake. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to Nyaungshwe from where we pick a boat trip to transfer to the hotel for check-in.

Take a short break until the guide takes you to the boat trip again for a full day exploring the most beautiful lake of Myanmar. We will make our first visit of the day at Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda to discover the holiest religious site in southern Shan State where enshrining five 800-year-old golden images of Buddha.

Continue your stunning boat trip, you will have a stop at local workshops along the way to gaze out at the traditional silk weaving and blacksmith of the people on the lake. Your next visit will be Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, the oldest and largest wooden monastery in Inle Lake. From here, proceed to Nampan Village to discover the Shan and Intha way of life. The village is where you can see the local cheroot factory and canoe carving. Spend your night at your 5-star Sofitel Inle Lake Resort

Day 08:Inle Lake – Indein Discovery

Soak up the lively market this morning which rotates every five days. Here you will have a chance to encounter many hill tribe people who dress in colorful attires barter for good and product. The market is also where you can see many monks return for their morning alms. Then we continue today’s exploration.

Get on a boat trip and pass through the narrow canals flow through the endless floating gardens, you will reach Indein. It is a small village where we will look for the famous Indein pagoda, a complex of ancient shrines with different shapes and colors. Some mossy tiled, some glittering with a golden hue. Spend your time to walk along the colonnade where many shop stalls selling exotic things.

After that, your guide will escort you to meet the long neck women who live in the stilt-house and make their living from the traditional weaving. As you return to Inle Lake, you will catch the most expected image: the Intha fishermen. For a long time, they have become the iconic image of the lake by the unique method of rowing. Take the chance to save your best photo.

Day 09:Inle – Fly to Thandwe – Ngapali Beach

Check-out at your hotel this morning and transfer to the airport to fly to Ngapali. Your guide will wait for at Thandwe airport and then will pick you up to your stunning Ngapali Bay Villas & Resort in Ngapali Beach for check-in. you will have 3 days in Ngapali. Spending your time for sunbathing, swimming and strolling along the white sand beach.

In the afternoon, a biking trip is available for you to explore the nearby fishing village. In the late afternoon, you can indulge yourself with the poetic sunset at the serene beach.

Day 10:Ngapali Beach Relaxation

After breakfast this morning, you have a full day to explore Ngapali. Take a bike and cycle to the fishing village and pottery village near the beach. Talking with cheerful people will bring you insight into the local culture and life. If you love to explore the sea creature, don’t miss your chance to take a few hours snorkeling trip on the beach.

Day 11:Ngapali Beach Relaxation

Today is the next day sightseeing in Ngapali. Besides the normal activities on the beach, we can join in an excursion to the local market to see the daily trading of people. After that, you can take a boat trip to travel to some of the small islets nearby the beach.

Day 12:Ngapali – Fly to Yangon – City tour

Say goodbye to Ngapali this morning and take a flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival, enjoy a full day city tour to discover the fascinating city. Your private driver will take you to the downtown city to get a glimpse at the magnificent colonial architecture faded on the ancient building along the streets. Passing through some historic buildings including the post office, Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden and Independence Monument.

We will make our first visit at Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to the 66 meters reclining Buddha image. It is one of the most revered images in the country. The feet of the statue carved with many traditional symbols. It is where local pilgrims often gather to pay homage and pray. From the pagoda, head to Karawik Palace, the impressive golden barge lies on the serene Kandawgyi Lake. It is considered one of the most beautiful photo stop in Yangon.

In the afternoon, fulfill your city tour at Shwedagon Pagoda, the most famous landmark of Myanmar. The elegant pagoda noted for its impressive 99-meter high golden stupa topped with over 7000 diamonds, sapphires, and rubies. Take your time to marvel at the majestic architecture an enjoy the sunset view over the glittering pagoda and returning to the hotel in the evening.
