Day 01:Hanoi Arrival – Welcome Dinner

Welcome to Hanoi, the charming colonial capital of Vietnam. After clearing immigration and retrieving your luggage, meet your driver and guide outside the arrival hall. A short drive will then take you to the city center of your hotel.

Enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Performance of a unique Vietnamese Art form hailing from Southeast Asia’s wet-rice culture in the evening, followed by a welcome dinner at one of Hanoi’s lovely restaurants.

Day 02:Hanoi City Tour

Breakfast is served at the hotel. This morning, you begin a full day of exploring our capital’s highlights. The Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and stilt house), the nearby One Pillar Pagoda, the Presidential Palace, and the Temple of Literature are all included in your city tour.

In the afternoon, pay a visit to the fascinating Ethnology Museum (closed Mondays), which is both a research center and a public museum displaying Vietnam’s ethnic groups. Visit Hanoi’s Old Quarter at the end of the afternoon. Thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers call this bustling area of narrow streets and alleys home. It’s a fantastic place to explore, with numerous photo opportunities all around.

Day 03:Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on cruise

Sail along the waters of Halong Bay is an ideal way to spend your honeymoon in Vietnam. Enjoy the scenery of beautiful forested limestone cliff formations and emerald waters as you cruise along. After breakfast, meet your driver in the hotel lobby and travel for approximately 2 hours on one of Vietnam’s most modern highways and South East Asia’s longest cross-sea bridge to Cat Hai Island in Hai Phong City, where your romantic cruise awaits you.

12h15: Transfer by tender to your cruise.

12h30: Welcome aboard! Enjoy welcome drinks while you receive the cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in. Start cruising and explore Halong Bay – one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

12h40: Your cruise proceeds to Da Chong islet where you will see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. Enjoy lunch on cruise before continuing your journey via the islets of Duck (Con Vit) and Gia Luan. These amazing limestone karst formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. This area is untouched due to being a fair way from Halong City, not so many tourist boats venture here, meaning it has a more isolated appeal.

14h15: Progress to Trung Trang cave by bus on Cat Ba island which is located in the middle of Cat Ba National Park with Kim Giao forest around the cave. Trung Trang Valley is the largest valley on Cat Ba Island. The valley covers an area of approximately 300 hectares, has a depth of 10m to 30m and is around 15km in the middle of Cat Ba National Park. Trung Trang Cave measures 300m lengthwise through the mountains. The cave was carved by nature for more than 2000 years. The cave has many stalactites that take on various shapes that will awe and inspire visitors to use their imagination.

17h00: Cruise gets in the less populated area at Tra Bau where is located in Lan Ha Bay. You will enjoy the green emerald and cool water by swimming.

17h45: Return to your boat. You may watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin (if weather permits) or join a traditional cooking class. The cruise’s chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnamese dishes.

19h30: Dinner is served. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served by professional on-board catering staffs.

Day 04:Halong Bay – Overnight on cruise

6h00: Early birds may like to join an early Tai-Chi class overlooking the bay.
Enjoy coffee, tea and pastries for breakfast served in the dining room with morning view of sunrise on the bay.

8h30: Transfer to a day boat to visit Ba Hang village, a small community with around 50 residents. Reach to Ba Hang village by a rustic–row boat; meet the local people who will help navigate to the village located in an area of quiet, peaceful and stunning scenery. Step by in time as the lives of the fisherman have changed little.  

10h30: Admire incredible stalactites and stalagmites in Sung Sot Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. Then return to the boat for lunch.

14h30: If the weather permits, you can swim by Ti Top Beach, which is famed for its fresh atmosphere, clean water, and smooth white sand.

16h00: Back to The Orchid to relax or enjoy panorama views of the bay at the sunset.

19h30: Dine on-board.

Day 05:Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Da Nang – Hoi An

6h00: Rise early to witness the bay at its very best whilst enjoying an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck. After breakfast, continue your journey and head out by canoes to explore the bay in the area where the Dark & Bright Cave is situated.

9h45: Return to The Orchid for check-out procedures.

10h15: Enjoy a delightful brunch as you are navigating back to Dinh Vu Pier.

11h35: Disembark.

12h10: Transfer to Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport for your in-country flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and take you to your hotel in Hoi An, a sleepy riverside ancient town.

Day 06:Hoi An Tour

Hoi An was a thriving international port from the 16th to the 18th centuries, frequented by Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese, and Arab traders who came to trade in the high quality silk still produced in the region. Today, Hoi An is a relaxing tourist destination known for its eclectic architecture, skilled tailors, and numerous cafes.

Take a morning walking tour through the ancient town’s narrow winding streets, stopping at Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year-old Tan Ky ancestral house, and the famous Japanese Bridge. After lunch, take a short boat ride to a nearby island to visit a ceramics-focused handicraft village. Return to the resort in the late afternoon and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 07:Hoi An – Free at leisure

A popular vacation spot known for its quaint village atmosphere complete with art galleries, low-cost tailors, and a plethora of bars and restaurants. Everything here moves at a very slow pace; the goal is for you to slow down as well, to enjoy every moment of your time here. Furthermore, one way to experience real culture is through food, so why not take a cooking class and learn more about the hidden secrets behind each type of dish.

Day 08:Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An

This morning is yours to do as you please. Then, transfer to Da Nang International Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the city on your own.

Day 09:Ho Chi Minh City Tour

Spend the day exploring Saigon’s many attractions. Begin by visiting Saigon’s Chinatown, Binh Tay Market (Great Market), and Thien Hau Pagoda. Stop by the Fine Art Museum, which is housed in a beautiful colonial house that combines French and Chinese styles; it houses a large collection of fine artworks ranging from paintings to historical objects. Ben Thanh Market has an amazing selection of goods. After lunch, continue on the city tour with a stop at the War Remnants Museum. Visit the Reunification Palace to learn about Vietnam’s recent history, then visit the nearby neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the City’s Centre Post Office before passing by the ornate Opera Theatre and City Hall.

Day 10:Ho Chi Minh City – Can Tho

Today you depart from Ho Chi Minh City for the Mekong River Delta. Before driving to the riverside town of Cai Be, have an early breakfast at the hotel. Stop along the way to visit a candy factory and an orchard garden where you can listen to traditional music. After a leisurely lunch at a riverside restaurant, cross the Mekong by motorized boat to visit some fluvial islands and cycle through the countryside. Your driver will meet you at the Vinh Long jetty and transport you to Can Tho for the night. The rest of the day is free.

Day 11:Can Tho (Cai Rang Floating Market) – Fly to Phu Quoc

Get up early and leave the hotel by motor boat to visit the famous Cai Rang floating market. Continue the boat ride to visit the famous orchards of the Mekong Delta and sample the fresh, exotic fruit. Then travel deeper into the countryside, passing traditional houses made of wood and palm leaves and observing local people at work.

After that, take a short flight to Phu Quoc Island for some beach time.

Day 12:Phu Quoc – Free at leisure

Phu Quoc is a wonderful romantic destination for couples, an island paradise where only the repetitive breaking of the waves on the beach before falling asleep at night disturbs the peace.

This is a wonderful escape to paradise; progress hasn’t ruined the landscape or the simple fishing villages dotted around the island, but it has allowed cocoons of luxury where the simple life can be combined with luxurious accommodation, delicious food, and a beautiful and relaxing environment. The majority of Phu Quoc Island is dedicated to a National Park and a protected marine environment, making for a memorable experience with a variety of exciting activities and places to visit to keep you and your loved one entertained during your stay.
