Day 01:Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on cruise

Overnight cruises are an excellent way to experience one of Vietnam’s most beautiful destinations: Halong Bay – The Jade Emperor’s dragon descended from heaven into the sea, spraying a thousand pearls from its mouth. The bay’s calm emerald waters are best explored by kayak. Take a ferry to Cat Ba Island and live like a local. Spend two nights exploring Cat Ba, a laid-back island with a few small but nice beaches, a rich history, and some reasonably priced nightlife options!

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Accommodation: on cruise.

Day 02:Halong – Cat Ba Island

Get up early and do Tai Chi on the top deck, or simply relax and watch the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning before rowing to nearby islands. Return to the junk for breakfast, then relax on the sundeck and admire the bay’s amazing rock formations as you cruise back to Halong City. Take a ferry to Cat Ba Island and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 03:Cat Ba Tour (Half-day)

Option 1: A half-day trek through Cat Ba National Park. Enjoy an early morning sunrise breakfast at the hotel before taking a scenic drive around the island to Hospital Cave. During the American War, a three-story building inside the mountain was used to hide and recover.

You will see stone beds, stalactites, and learn about many legends here. Leaving the cave, continue on to the National Park, which is now a UNESCO protected site. Visiting an exhibition center to learn about Cat Ba’s flora and fauna, as well as some ancient fossils discovered on the island. Walking through the forest and climbing to the top of Ngu Lam mountain (215m above sea level) for panoramic views of Halong Bay. After that, I spent an hour trekking through Kim Gao. On the way back to your hotel, stop for lunch and then relax on the beach.

Option 2: A half-day biking tour in Vietnam. After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Ben Beo Harbor and take a boat transfer to Viet Hai Village, which is about 18 kilometers from Cat Ba Town. Viet Hai, a small fishing village, stretches along the coast. By bike, you can see the daily activities of the fishermen and farmers working in the rice fields. Make a few stops to chat with locals before returning to the pier for a boat ride to Cat Ba tourist wharf. Return to the hotel in the afternoon, and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 04:Cat Ba – Hai Phong – Hanoi

Have breakfast at the hotel and take a speed boat to Ben Binh in Hai Phong City where your car is waiting for you and transfer you back to your hotel in Hanoi. Tour ends.
