Detailed Itinerary:

You begin with three nights in Beijing before travelling by train to Xi’an, Chengdu and Guilin, with a full day on the Li River. A cross-border high-speed train then brings you to Hong Kong for a guided day and a day at leisure. Every part of it can be adjusted: add a night, swap a visit or change the hotel class, and we will shape the plan around you.

Day 01:Arrival In Beijing

Arrive in China’s capital and settle in.

Arrival

Your private guide meets you in the arrivals hall at Beijing airport, and your driver takes you to your hotel in Beijing. Along the way, your guide shares a first few stories about the city and the plan for the days ahead.

At leisure

The rest of the day is at leisure. Rest after the flight, or take a gentle walk around the neighbourhood and try a simple meal of noodles or dumplings at a local restaurant.

Accommodation: Hotel in Beijing.

Day 02:Tiananmen Square And The Forbidden City

The ceremonial heart of Beijing and the vast palace of the emperors.

Morning

Begin at Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world, surrounded by monumental buildings and overlooked by the Gate of Heavenly Peace. From here, walk north into the Forbidden City, the walled palace of the Ming and Qing emperors and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Midday

Make your way through the great courtyards, marble terraces and throne halls to the quieter inner palace, where the emperors and their households lived. Your guide fills in the history as you go, then you stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

Its park fills early with residents doing tai chi, dancing and playing cards, and the round, triple-roofed Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is one of Beijing’s great sights. The complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Midday

Drive north into the hills for lunch at a local restaurant near Mutianyu.
